Wolves have been taken to overtime against Gaimin once again before collecting two points. This result keeps Gaimin just in the fight while Wolves remains in second place.

Elevate qualify for Berlin Major playoffs with win over Astralis

The Thai squad are the first ones to do so.

XSET beat Rogue, 7-4

XSET has taken the lead in Group A with nine points in four games, while Rogue and NiP are both on six.

This means XSET now has more points than the rest of North America combined; nine compared to one for Soniqs, two for Astralis, and three for Oxygen.

Rogue will now likely need to beat NiP tomorrow to secure a top-two finish.

The battle for first place in Group A by the end of day two is underway on Theme Park. While neither team can lock in a playoff spot today, the victor will be favourites to tomorrow.

MNM Gaming beat FURIA, 8-6

In another upset result, MNM has felled FURIA, 8-6. This result was just enough to keep MNM's playoff chances alive, albeit slightly.

FURIA, meanwhile has dropped behind the group leaders, Elevate on seven points.

DWG KIA beat Ninjas in Pyjamas, 7-5

In an upset result, DWG has won their first points of the tournament with a win on Skyscraper against the Ninjas. This now means all 16 teams have at least one point to their name.

This result narrowly keeps DWG's hopes of making the playoffs alive while NiP drops behind XSET into third in Group A by round difference. Both Rogue and XSET has the chance to take first in their next game.

Here’s who can qualify for the Berlin Major playoffs today

Four teams could qualify for the Berlin Major playoffs today.

MNM and DWG in must-win games

Should MNM Gaming lose this game in regulation time, they will be mathematically unable to progress to the Berlin Major playoffs. If they lose in overtime they will only have a 0.03% chance to make it.

Similarly, any loss from DWG against NiP would rule them out

DWG vs NiP goes to Skyscraper while MNM and FURIA play on Theme Park

This will be the first appearance of Skyscraper at the Major. NiP hasn't played it at all this year while DWG has a bad record on it.

Theme Park, meanwhile is one of FURIA's best maps while MNM has already lost here against Elevate yesterday.

Oxygen Esports beat Gaimin Gladiators, 7-4

Oxygen has earnt their first points of the Major against GG to go just behind Wolves.

FaZe Clan beat G2 Esports, 7-3

FaZe has joined w7m and Elevate on nine points in three games with a win over Europe's G2 Esports. The result means that once again today will end with a head-to-head between Sq and G2 with the winner going ahead.

The game itself saw a standout performance from CTZN on G2 be outdone by double-figure kill counts from soulz1 and Cyber. Cyber notably secured an ace on the final round to win the match.

FaZe vs G2 will be played on Bank, Gaimin Gladiators vs Oxygen on Villa

FaZe Clan and G2 Esports will battle for first place in their group on Bank.

Meanwhile, Gaimin Gladiators will fight for survival on Villa against Oxygen Esports.

NiP & Rogue go to Bank, Elevate vs FURIA on Theme Park

Bank is NiP's third most banned map while Rogue has already beaten DWG on this map yesterday. The winner of this game will top the group and almost certainly will qualify for the playoffs.

Theme Park is one of FURIA's best maps, but is also where Elevate beat MNM yesterday.

Elevate vs FURIA nearing the playoffs

The victor of the upcoming match between Elevate and FURIA will be an inch from qualifying for the playoffs.

If the match ends in regulation, then the victor will be on nine points shy of what's required and could be locked in by the end of the day.

Astralis beat MNM Gaming 8-6

Astralis took a tense 8-6 win over MNM Gaming on Oregon, winning their first match at the Berlin Major.

However, due to the overtime nature of the win, Astralis will only come away with two points. MNM Gaming will also secure one point after forcing overtime, despite the loss.

XSET beat DWG KIA on Bank 7-4

After a contested first half, the Brazilian-majority roster didn't have to sweat much to get their second victory on the group stage.

Following this result, XSET are momentarily in second place, with Ninjas in Pyjamas playing next against Rogue.
