SANDBOX Gaming have qualified for the BLAST Major Copenhagen after defeating Talon Esports by 2-1 in the South Korean League 2023 Stage 1 final bracket.

Earlier in the competition, SANDBOX Gaming finished second of Group B following a shocking overtime defeat against PANTHERA on the last game day of the group stage.

The upset pushed SANDBOX Gaming to the quarter-finals of the bracket, where they defeated Beyond Stratos Gaming by scores of 7-2 and 7-5.

Despite starting the series against Talon Esports with a 4-7 defeat on Theme Park, SANDBOX Gaming completed the comeback after winning on Border and Chalet comfortably.

This means that SANDBOX Gaming will compete in a Siege international competition for the first time since the Six Jönköping Major, as the Korean lineup missed out on the Six Invitational 2023.

Next week, SANDBOX Gaming will face the winner between PANTHERA and DPlus in a game that will decide which Korean side will qualify for the BLAST Major Copenhagen Phase 2.

Meanwhile, the loser of next week's South Korea League grand final and the South Korea LCQ winner will start from the BLAST Major Copenhagen Phase 1.
