The Qualifier King: Bosco aims to make it 11 qualifier wins in a row to get to SI 2023

Bosco and Spacestation Gaming are yet to qualify for the Six Invitational 2023... but that's not been any trouble for him before.

Dylan "Bosco" Bosco can play under pressure like no one else. The two-times Siege World Champion has been competing in professional Siege since Year 1 and has never been stumped at a qualifier tournament.

While on eRa Eternity, he beat Davide "FoxA" Bucci and Lauren "Goddess" Williams’ Reckless to win the SI 2018 qualifiers. Then, on Obey Alliance, he won the Paris Major qualifiers, beating Paul "Hyper" Kontopanagiotis and Franklyn "VertcL" Cordero’s mousesports in the grand-final, and later also qualified for the US Nationals 2018 Finals rather easily.

He then joined Spacestation Gaming, where he has remained since. He first beat his current teammate, Alexander "Yeti" Lawson, in the grand-final of the Six Invitational 2019 qualifiers. Then, to qualify for the Allied Esports Minor, beat Matthew "Achieved" Solomon, Alec "Fultz" Fultz, Bryan "Merc" Wrzek, and Owen "Pojoman" Mitura’s Excelerate Gaming in their final game before signing with TSM.

TSM got Spacestation and Bosco back by beating them 2-0 in the grand-final of the Raleigh Major qualifiers, but Spacestation’s performance here meant they had won the host invite spot anyway.

Later that year, he also beat DarkZero Esports to qualify for the US Nationals 2019 Finals, Seth "supr" Hoffman’s Soniqs to reach the OGA PIT Minor, and Spencer "Slashug" Oliver and Richie "Rexen" Coronado’s Luminosity Gaming to reach the Six Invitational 2020, a tournament he would go on to win.

Since then, format changes have decreased the number of qualifiers taking place, but Bosco did succeed in one more -- a 3-0 over Alexandre "BlaZ" Thomas and Shaun "Gunnar" Pottorff’s Parabellum meant Bosco travelled to Saudi Arabia to compete at the Gamers8 event.

This means that Bosco has made his way through three Six Invitational qualifiers, two Six Major qualifiers, two Six Minor qualifiers, two USN qualifiers, and a third-party Gamers8 qualifier, totalling 10 in his career.

Now, after SSG finished in 21st place by SI Points during the 2022 season, they will face Mirage, Reality TV, and TSM this weekend during the 2023 Closed Qualifiers for a spot in the 2023 championship.

Usually by the time the qualifier comes, all the top-tier teams have already qualified for the event, leaving just lower level opposition. But, Bosco this year faces the reigning World Champions, who just reached the Six Jönköping Major playoffs, Mirage, who also qualified for the Major, and Reality TV, who just had the best performance in NA Challenger League history.

TSM’s history and star power definitely means they are the favourites -- no one wants to see the reigning champions miss out -- but if anyone can cause an upset, it’s Bosco.
