Soniqs Sign Former eUnited Roster Excluding Alphama

The Susquehanna Soniqs have finally unveiled their new look lineup for 2021.

After dropping four players at the end of the 2020 Season, Soniqs' new lineup sees four of the ex-eUnited players reunite on the new organization, with supr effectively replacing Alphama compared to the 2020 eUnited lineup.

The Soniqs organization came into the 2020 season with the aim of cracking into the big-four, a category that had been tightly dominated by Spacestation Gaming, DarkZero Esports, TSM, and Oxygen Esports.

The team started well, getting close with a fifth-place finish during Stage 1 with a Map 3, Round 15 loss against the eventual Regional Major winners being the only thing between the Soniqs and their first Major appearance.

As they went into Stage 2, however, their performance slipped, with losses against eUnited and Disrupt prompting them to decide to make huge changes to the roster just ahead of the Six Invitational qualifiers.

The team benched the players of SlebbeN, Gomfi, Easilyy, and Iconic, leaving just supr on the active team with the hopes of remaking a better lineup almost from scratch for 2021.

Now, as we approach the start of the 2021 season in a few weeks time, the Soniqs have opted to bring in four ex-eUnited players to complete the lineup. These four players finished Stages 1 and 2 of the 2020 season in eighth and seventh place, before the eU organisation left R6 Esports entirely, leaving the players without a home.

Following this, Rexen and Gryxr competed alongside supr on the suprSoniqs lineup during the Six Invitational qualifiers, where they very narrowly lost to the new NAL team now known as XSET.

This creates the following lineup, which we'll first see in action on March 24th when the Las Vegas LAN League kicks off:

Seth "supr" Hoffman
Pablo "Gryxr" Rebeil
Alexander "Yeti" Lawson
Richie "Rexen" Coronado
Evan "Kanzen" Bushore
Joe "Jobro" Reyes (Head Coach)
Lauren "Goddess" Williams (Assistant Coach/Substitute)
