The next season of Rainbow Six Siege will be called "Operation Vector Glare", according to an announcement from the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter account.

Vector Glare is set to be debuted at the Charlotte Major, which will commence on May 16.

The most recent season of Siege, Demon Veil, will end sometime in late May or early June. Demon Veil featured a new map, Emerald Plains, and Azami, one of the game's most impactful operators to date.

The next season will see the beginning of Azami in competitive play -- something fans of the competitive scene have wanted for some time.

According to the official Year 7 roadmap, Vector Glare will feature a new map as well -- and the new operator will hail from Belgium. The shooting range is also expected to debut during this season, according to the roadmap, but it's possible it may be delayed.

Other teasers have indicated that Team Rainbow, canonically, is splitting down the middle with two confirmed factions: Nighthaven and Wolfguard.

The Charlotte Major will be the first Rainbow Six Siege event with fans in the stands since SI 2020.
