Riot Games have unveiled more details regarding the first stage of the VCT EMEA 2024, including the shape of the group stage, the format, and information about spectator tickets.
Before the start of the VCT EMEA 2024 and the rest of top flight Valorant divisions, the best two teams from each region (EMEA, Americas, Pacific, and China) will compete in the VCT Masters Madrid from Mar. 14 to Mar. 25.
VCT EMEA 2024 Stage 1 Groups
The VCT EMEA 2024 Stage 1 will start with a two-group group stage. While Group Alpha will have five teams, Group Omega will have six.
The three best sides from each group will move to the Playoffs, which will follow a double elimination system. The first seed from each group will move to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, while the second and third seeds will start from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. The best three teams by the end of the Playoffs will qualify for the VCT Masters Shanghai.
Group Alpha
Fnatic will have a chance to reedeem themselves in Group Alpha after missing out on the VCT Masters Madrid. Unfortunately for the orange roster, Group Alpha also includes Karmine Corp, the team that stopped the VCT Masters Tokyo champions from qualifying for Spain. Finally, Team Liquid, Team Vitality, and BBL Esports complete the group.
Group Omega
The VCT Masters Madrid bound Team Heretics share the group with the other two Spanish organizations in the circuit, Movistar KOI and GIANTX. Natus Vincere, Gentle Mates, and FUT Esports complete the group.
VCT EMEA 2024 Stage 1 tickets to be released soon
Valorant fans will be able to support their favorite teams from the Riot Gaming arena in Berlin, where the matches will take place. According to the league's announcement in their official X account (formerly known as Twitter), the tickets will go on sale on Mar. 13.
