Elevate qualify for Berlin Major playoffs with win over Astralis

The Thai squad are the first ones to do so.

Elevate have locked in a spot at the Berlin Major playoffs after their 8-6 win over Astralis. As a result, they have a total of 11 points compared to just three points for third-placed MNM, with six points left to play for.

The second-day win followed three regulation victories; a 7-4 win over MNM, a 7-5 over FURIA, and a 7-3 against Astralis.

This makes Elevate the first roster to secure qualification to the playoffs, though w7m esports and FaZe Clan could join them later today.

Elevate finished 9-12th at the last Six Invitational and qualified for two Six Majors in a row but missed out on attending the Charlotte Major after visa issues struck. This Berlin Major saw them debut two new players on the global stage, and so far, they have fit in well.

Should Elevate lose both games tomorrow, it is still possible for them to lose the first seed in Group D, as the fight for second is comfortably led by FURIA at the moment.
