M80 have announced the immediate termination of their now former Overwatch players one day after unveiling the roster. The shocking news came as a surprise in the game's esports scene as this could go down the history books as the shortest stay at an esports team.

On Mar. 1st, 24 hours after the official announcement, M80 posted a message on X (formerly known as Twitter) stating that the comment made by one of their players "doesn't allign with our team values." Additionally, the team made official the decision of parting ways with Samuel "s9mm" Santos.

Right after the team's announcement, an X account called @viewerOW unveiled some screenshots of s9mm using racial slur. According to @viewerOW, the comments were confirmed to be truth by s9mm himself, as "he stated that he said it while quoting someone else he had met earlier in the day, and that he was deeply regretful that he said such a thing."

Only two hours later after the first statement, M80 released a second post to make official the organization's decision of parting ways with all of the roster's members. "Rather than replacing the team with players commited elsewhere, we've decided it's best for all parties to part ways."

Following this decision, M80 has yet to reveal if they will sign another Overwatch roster to keep the organization's name in the scene.
