Soniqs complete flawless group stage run

Soniqs completed a flawless run in Group D after the team's victory against FURY. Out of the eight maps played, the roster was pushed twice to maximum overtime. The rest of the maps were decided during the regulation time, with four concluding on round ten or before.

The Americans' run in Group D included victories against SCARZ, LOS, Team Falcons, and FURY. Additionally, with Soniqs not playing on Day 5, the squad will have an extra day to analyze and prepare for their upcoming clashes.

Ben "CTZN" McMillan was the team's best player on the group stage as he averaged a SiegeGG rating of 1.36. Combined with Jaylen "Ambi" Turk's entry numbers, the Soniqs duo ended with an entry balance of 37-19 (+18).

At the Six Invitational 2023, Soniqs were one match away from a flawless group stage run. Unfortunately for the Americans, MNM Gaming prevented them from topping the standings of Group B. One year later, Soniqs have finally redeemed themselves.

Brazil bounces back

Unexpectedly, Brazil's results throughout Day 2 and Day 3 of the Six Invitational 2024 were underwhelming. Despite the team's domination throughout the season, European and North American rosters seemed to have caught up on the Brazilians.

While none of the groups is currently being led by a Brazilian side, the most recent results have seen four of the five home teams securing a spot in the Six Invitational 2024 Upper Bracket.

For those curious, Team Liquid is the only Brazilian squad to have not booked a spot in the upcoming phase of the tournament. The Blue Cavalry's recent defeats against Bleed Esports and w7m esports have put them in a very uncomfortable place, as the roster's match against M80 tomorrow will decide their future in the competition.

South Asia is in the building

Bleed Esports and FURY qualified for the Six Invitational 2024 playoffs after today's results.

Although the Thai squad lost to Soniqs by 0-2, the Thai squad made it to the playoffs thanks to SCARZ's 1-2 loss against LOS.

Meanwhile, Bleed Esports qualified for the next stage after defeating M80 by two maps to one. After beginning the series with a 3-7 loss on Consulate, the team's victories on Oregon and Chalet saw the roster confirming a place at the Six Invitational 2024 playoffs.

Therefore, we can finally say that the Six Invitational 2024 will be the first event with two sides from South Asia among the best 16 rosters in the competition. The last time we saw a South Asian roster surviving to the initial group stage was at the Six Invitational 2022 when Elevate made it through its group.
