Team BDS have won this year's Gamers8 following a 3-0 victory against M80. Just one year ago, the Frenchmen had been crowned champions in flawless fashion after the team's win against Team Falcons.
To reach the grand finals, the Europeans defeated Team Falcons in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Brazilian-majority roster defeated the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen champions, w7m esports.
In a very one-sided series, the Frenchmen couldn't be stopped as they won by 7-2, 7-5, and 7-4.
It's Team BDS's fourth competition won in the last year, as the Europeans' victory at the Gamers8 2022 was followed by wins at the Japan Invitational 2022, the Six Jönköping Makor, and the Gamers8 2023.
In terms of players, Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu was chosen as the tournament's MVP and was given an extra $10,000. William "Spoit" Löfstedt finished in second place, which awarded the Swed an extra $5,000.
